MAYOR'S PROCLAMATION . ......
WHEREAS, Men and women of goodwill in their Millions are convinced that there is Q'41-45s'-"A"
poten tial for good in all mankind, and that the human family can live
together in right relationships and at peace; and
All,
WHEREAS, We feel that that right relationship between people and nations is the key
to unity and world peace, and that the energy of goodwill is the active
principle of peace, justice and progress for all humanity; and `A-
WHEREAS, We affirm our intention to practice goodwill in all relationships, in all
daily affairs and in attitudes and actions towards those of other nations,
t. races, religious and social backgrounds; and
WHEREAS, We affirm our intention to encourage, publicize and work for the
adoption of goodwill in action by local and national groups and
institutions.
... NOW, THEREFORE, 1, Catherine Golden, Mayor of the City of Ashland, hereby
proclaim May 21, 1997 as
WORLD INVOCATION DAY
and encourage all people to work together in unity fora peaceful world.
