NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION IN THE
CITY OF ASHLAND, OREGON
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Election has been
called and will be heid in the City of Ashland, Oregon, .on the 19th
day of February, 1974, at which time there will be submitted to the
legal voters of said City for their approval or rejection an act of
municipal legislation to amend the Ashland Charter, the ballot title
for said measure to be as follows:
CHARTER AMENDMENT SUBMITTED TO THE VOTERS BY THE CITY COUNCIL
53. CHARTER AMENDMENT FOR FLOOD DAMAGE RESTORATION BONDS:
Shall the Charter of the City of Ashland be amended
by adding to Article IX, Section 2; a new sub-section
(b) - Flood Damage Restoration Bonds - to authorize
issuance of general obligation bonds not to exceed.
$750,000.00 to finance the cost of repair and restoration
in accord with current construction standards of the
Cityfs water, sewer, electrical and storm sewer systems;
City streets and bridges and watershed roads and bridges;
Lithia Park; the repair of riprap at the Ashland Airport;
and the purchase of a dredge for the removal of present
and continuous accumulations of silt in the City1s water
reservoir; and to further provide that all State or
Federal funds received to assist Ashland in repair of
flood damage shall be used for that purpose or to pay
principal and interest on these bonds and for no other
purpose?
The polling place for Ward No. 1 shall be the Briscoe School,
265 North Main Street, and Ward No. 1 shall, for the purposes of this
Election, consist of Ashland Precinct numbers 2, 3,.4 and 5. The
polling place for Ward No. 2 shall be the Ashland Junior High School,
100 Walker Avenue and Ward No. 2 shall, for the purposes of this
Election, consist of Ashland Precinct numbers I, 6, 10, 12 and 13.
The polling places for said Special Election shall be open
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
The full Charter amendment to be voted on at Said Election is
on file and is open for examination at _tEe office of the Recorder
of the City of Ashland, Ashland City Hall, Ashland, Oregon, and
may there be inspected by the legal voters of said City.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Special Election has been
called and .will be heid in the City of Ashland, Oregon,. pn the 19th
day of February, 1974, at which time there will be submitted to the
legal voters of said City for their approval o~ rejection an act of
municipal legislation to amend the Ashland Charter, the ballot title
for said measure to be as follows:
CHARTER A}IENDHENT SUBmTTED TO THE VOTERS BY THE CITY COUNCIL
53. CHAPTER AHENmrCNT FOR FLOOD DAHAGE RESTORATION BONDS:
Shall the Chart or of the City of Ashland be amended
by aelding to Article IX, Section 2; a new sub-section
(b) - Flood Damage Restoration Bonds - to authorize
issuance of general obligation bonds not to exceed'
$750,000.00 to finance the cost of repair and restoration
in accord with current construction standards of the
Cityts water, sewer) electrical and storm sewer systems;
City streets and bridges and watershed roads and bridges;
Lithia Park; the repair.of riprap at the. Ashland Airport;
and the purchase of a dredge for the removal of present
and continuous accumulations of silt in the City's water

Federal funds received to assist Ashland in repair of
flood damage shall be used for that purpose or to pay

265 North Main Street, and Ward No. 1 shall, for the purposes of this
Election, consist of Ashland Precinct numbers 2) 3,-4 and 5. The
polling place for Ward No. 2 shall be the Ashland Junior High School,
100 Walker Avenue and Ward No. 2 shall, for the purposes of this
Election, consist of Ashland Precinct numbers 1, 6, 10, 12 and 13.
The polling places for said Special Election shall be open
between the hours of 8:00 a.m; and 8:00 p.m.
The full Charter amendment to be voted on at Said Election is
on file and is open for examination at_tE~ office of the Recorder
of the City of Ashland, Ashland City Hall, Ashland, Oregon, and
may there be inspected by the legal voters of said City.
