Under Communications the Recorder read a letter from the Park Commission, citing the i rr eased cost of maintaining Lithia Park arld noting that the present 3 mill levy was insu.fficien . to operate and keep up the. Park as it shaild be. T't was their sijg,_^estj.on that the po;sibili.ty of securing an addiLional 1 mill increase be given thouj;lit and that this increa4P be placed on the ;'+allot in Lhe coming special election. After some discussion it was moved by Neill, seconded by reism:in that the proposed 1 mill levy increase for. Park purposes be referred to h1r. Skerry and •,Xr. Dicl;el 'wi th a view towards f i.nding the cor.rosct proce dure to place the matter on the ballot in the coming spacial election. Motion carried.
