Dear Mr. Almquist:
This to 'to confirm our agreement regarding classification plan
updating, salary relationship review and compensation plan
recommendations.
We can provide the following services for approximately $1200:
1. Conduct a review of positions.
2. Revise classification plan as necessary (add or delete
classifications).
3. Develop new specifications for each clads of work. ,
4. Review the compensation plan for proper relationships of
classes.
5. Make compensation plan recommendations for any new
classes.
The cost of the study to the City will be dependent upon the time,
materials and other expenses involved., It is,agreed that in accord-
ance with ORS 240.095, the City of Ashland will reimburse the
Oregon State Personnel Division for the actual expenses Incurred.
We expect to conclude our work and submit our findings and recom-
mendations to you prior to September 15, 1971.

If acceptable. this letter will serve as an agreement between the
City of Ashland and the State Personnel Division.

I hereby make application for the services of the Oregon State
Personnel Division to (1) prepare new class specifications. (2)
review e3dsting compensation plan. and (3) prepare. salary recom-
mendations to revise the compensation plan as, necessary. , The
City of Ashland agrees to reimburse the State Personnel Division
for its actual costs involved in conducting the study.
