(For Street Purposes)
For and in consideration of the sum of ONE DOLLAR ($1.00),
the undersigned does hereby sell, transfer and convey unto the CITY
OF ASHLAND, a municipal corporation of Oregon, for street purposes,
the real property situated in said City of Ashland, County of Jackson,
State of Oregon, described as follows, to-wit:
A tract or parcel of land situated in the Southeast quarter
of the Southwest quarter of Section 5, Township 39 South,
Range 1 East of the Willamette Base and Meridian, Jackson
County, Oregon and being more fully described as follows:
Commencing at the quarter section corner common to
Sections 5 and 8, said Township and Range, said point
being monumented with a 2 inch iron pipe; thence North
000291201' West, along the North-South centerline of
Section 5, 688.28 feet to the centerline of Grandview
Drive; thence South 89019'45" West, along the centerline
of Grandview Drive, 666.48 feet to a 1 inch iron pipe;
thence North 00040'4011 West, along the centerline of
Grandview Drive, 70.17 feet; thence South 89019'2011 West
and normal to the centerline of Grandview Drive, 23.50
feet to a 3/4 inch iron pipe situated on the Westerly
right of way of said road, for the True Point of Beginning.
Thence South 00040'40" East along the Westerly right of
waylof said road, 84.74 feet to a 3/4 inch iron pipe; thence
" leaving said right of way, North 64015'55" West, 56.89 feet;
thence along the arc of a 126.50 foot radius curve to the
left (the long chord bears North 89022'3311 West, 107.36)
110.88 feet to a point of reverse curvature; thence along
the arc of a 313.267 foot radius curve to the right (the
chord bears South 72°0815011 West, 72.37 feet) 72.54 feet
to a 3/4 inch iron pipe; thence North 00030'2011 West,
47.98 feet to a,3/4 inch iron pipe; thence along the arc
of a 266.267 foot radius curve to the left (the chord
bears North 71011114" East, 52.65 feet) 52.73 feet to a
3/4 inch iron pipe; thence along the arc of a 173.50 foot
radius curve to the right (the lone chord bears South
89022'33" East, 147.25 feet) 152.08 feet to a 3/4 inch
iron pipe; thence South 64015'55" East, 1.28 feet to a
3/4 inch iron pipe; thence-along the arc of a 20.00 foot
radius curve to the left (the long chord bears North
57031'42" East, 34.00 feet) 40.64 feet to the point of
beginning. It is the intent for this road to be 47.00
feet in width when measured at right angles from right
of way to right of way, except where connecting to
Grandview Drive.
The undersigned HAROLD J. STRAUS, a.single man, is the legal
and equitable owner of said real property. The undersigned hereby
warrants that said real property is free of encumbrances, except those
of record on the below date.
