O R D E R
This is an ex parte matter before the Comr.^issicn upon
the app?icat-on of the Southern Pacific Ccmpa.ny and the Oregon
and California Railroad Company.
The Public Service Commission of Oregon, through two
of its members, H. H. Corey and Fred A. `Ulliams, made personal
examination and inspection of said crossing. And further,
City of Ashland, through its offi0tals has filed written
protest to the designation of said crossing as a "stop crossin.,"'
Being an ex parte matter, and a formal hearing not bei~_g
.required by statute and. tl,.e Commission being fully advised in
the premises, after c =.r_-fua inspection of t-:e environs of said
crossing, makes its f _ndings of fact as f o.i.lows
FINDINGS OF F,,t-iGT

Railroad Company till said railroad __ine herein involved
through the C it of' Ashlx is , Oregon,
2. That the said City of Ashland is a passenger and
freight division point of the said applicant and the said
crossing here-.z roforred Lo intersects said railroad yard
limits inside the cc--°porate limits of the City of Ashland,
Oregon.
3. Triat the said crossing is now protected by a Ttiarning
bell and the said stop sign would not serve a,3 additional
warning to T -idestriar.s or vehic?_e drivers of the aprroach of
a train or of the imminence of railroad tracks.
