I'm not a general contractor for in Oregon. I'm not allowed by law to install anything. When we've sold product to customers in Oregon in the past we've passed along a list of playground installers for customers to choose from. The price I provided was for material only, and again it was at Miracles cost, with no mark up on the price from Miracle or me. I've just hired a new sales rep to cover OR and Clark county WA. He's a general contractor for WA and is thinking about getting his license in OR so he could possibly install some of the items he sells, but that probably won't help in your case. I'm sorry that I didn't make this clear. It wasn't my intention in making things more difficult for either of us. Do you want me to send you a list of companies that have installed playground equipment or would you like me to make contact with the one we tend to refer and have them get a hold of you for a price? Estimated total value of contract: S9,475.00 Project name: Climbing Net Lithia Park Description of goods and services: Replacement Climbing Net for Lithia Park Playground Background: The net that needs replacement is a product that was originally purchased and manufactured by Miracle Playground Equipment. This will be the second net replacement since the original purchase. This playground equipment has been in Lithia Part: for about 4 years. It was purchased by Miracle Recreation and now is failing and needs to be replaced. Since the product is manufactured by Miracle Recreation, it must be replaced with the exact same material. The manufactures has agreed to sell it to us at their cost of $9,000.00 ($14,000.00 retail) with 475.00 freight. Parks staff has looked at the possibility of repairing the net, however this is not something that is not possible for us to accomplish. The vendor denied warranty, saying that the net did not look to be properly tensioned. To help with the expense of replacing this net, Miracle will sell the net at cost no commission for $9,000.00. This is a pyramid steel cable net apparatus that is designed for children five years and older. The net is suspended by a center pole and is tensioned at the corners with turn buckles. The cost of this structure to replace is 9,475.00 The reason this will be a sole source purchase is because it is a replacement part of the playground that cannot be purchased any other way.
