ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A ONE AND TWO FAMILY DWELLING
CODE PURSUANT TO O.R.S. 456.750 ET. SEQ.
THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City of Ashland hereby accepts jurisdiction for the
enforcement of the "One and Two Family Dwelling Code" mandated by
the 1987 Oregon Legislature in H.B. 2143.
SECTION 2. The Chief Building Official of the City of Ashland is
hereby appointed to administer and enforce said code within the City
pursuant to O.R.S. 456.800(1).
SECTION 3. A new Section 15.04.205(B) is hereby added to the
Ashland Municipal Code to read as follows:
"(B) One and Two Family Dwelling Code. For application
in this City, the One and Two Family Dwelling Code and
fee schedule adopted by the State Department of the
Department of Commerce, pursuant to O.R.S. 456.750 et.
seq., shall be in effect in this City."
The foregoing ordinance was first read on the /q-6k day of January,
1988 and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this day of~ 1988.
