of the VALLEY RECORD; That laid VALLEY kECOkD is a weekly news-
paper, published and issued weekly, and regularly at Ashland, in Jackson county,
State of Oregon, and is of general circulation in said county and State.

copy, Viz:

Changes in Granite Street. Subscribed and sworn to before me this

a meeting of the City Council of Ash- f
land. Oregon, held on Jan. 4, 1892, the City
j Council adopted and the Mayor approved i..~•
of City Ordinance No. 112, which provides I day Of... x......189 ZA~
for a change in the location of a part of

ranite street to conform to the following
description, to-wit: "Beginning at a point
on section line in the center of Granite
:street in the city of Ashland, Oregon, 141
` 75-100 feet easterly from the comer of sec-
:ra ns 8, 9, 16 and 17 in township 39 south of Rx ~Z 4
mange one east of the Willamette Meridian, d411-
-Oregon; thence north 0° 35, west 38 1-101
',feet: thence north 16" 50' west 491 feet to a
point on the line between sections 8 and 9
in said township and range; thence north
' 25° 33' west 204 1-10 feet to the intersection
of the center lines of Granite street and
rHargadine avenue for a terminus of the
survey.
"Said street will occupy 2673 square feet
of land 'owned by Mrs. Blanton; 3055 square
feet of land, the owner of which is un-
known; 25,160 square feet of land owned by
C. P. Jones."
And the City Council have appointed J.
W. Alnutt, Dan Chapman and J. W. O.
GregoFy as viewers to assess the benefits
and damages caused by said change in lo-
cation, and have designated Saturday, Jan.
16,1892 ' at 2 o'clock p., m. at the council
chamber as the place and time for the
viewers to meet and be sworn as viewers.
