The council met pursuant to last adjournment at 7:3^ o'clock P. P~. on the evening
of this date. Present ?~~a,yor Lamkin; cauneilmen :Manta, Nininger, Turner, Shinn, Front;
absent , I;~cGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved as read. 3
No bids were received for grading and paving parts of the Boulevard and Ashland Street.
Communication from the Ashland Hotel Company asking; that the council remit the
Gs~ penalty on their. delinquent paving assessment, was read. :loved by Banta, seconded by 'burner, that their re{~ueat 'oe granted and say-d
penalty remitted. Carried.

Requisition cif F. Rua~si31 for supplies amounting to approximately X24.00 was
read. ~~oved by Nininger, seconded by Banta, that said requisition be granted. Carried.
Aprooospd city ordinance entitled " An ordinance ar~ending section 3 of City Ord•
inaa~e No. 628 being, "An ordinance amending Section 3 of Article 2 afid Section 3 of
Article 3, and repea3.ing Section 6 of Article 3 of an ordinance entitled 'An crdinance
creating an Blectric Light Fund, .fixing rates for electric service and establishing
rules and regulations relating to and governing the electric service, and fixing open-
' ,alty for non-payment for electric service," was read the se;cand time. ~doved by ~~ininger, seconded by Turner that said ordinancE be rejected.
The vo to was as follows: A;tes Banta,
Nininger, Turner, Shinn, Frost; nay9 none; absent ~CcGee.

i Thereupon the mayor declared the ordinance rejected.
Councilman Shinn askied to be excased and said req~aest was granted.
The council next considered the request of ~Irs. Susie L. Allen that she be allowed
to place a buil~'.ing on that part of the street adjoining her. store building in the Auto Camp ground ~vhich is now occupied by the platform leading
from the street to said store.
Moved by Banta, seconded by Nininger that in case Mrs. Allen desires to make said im- '
provement the. council ask her to enter into a Lease with the Cit;~ for the sum of X1.00
er ear and the Citt Attorne be instructed to draw the lease if c~he accepted p Y J Y

Shinn. Carried. t
Councilman `~urne.r asked for a six r~onths Leave of absence, sari~e to take effect Oct. 1, 191. ~~oved by Nininger, seconded by Frost,
that Mr• Turner's request be granted
Carried.
Councilman Banta stated that Kay ~c Morrison wish a permit to cut down the sidewalk
in front of their Garage an ~agt Main St:^eet in order that cars may enter said garage,
and recommended that said request be granted. Moved by. Nininger, seconded by Turner,
thatKay & ~orrisan be granted said permit and the Street Committee be asked to use their influence with the owners of the other garages to da the same,
the work to be done under
the supervision of the Stre of Committee. Carried.
Councilman Shinn entered the room and again took his seat at the council table.

the council to provide for readvertising the proposed grading and paving of the Boulevard
and part of Ashland Street. The vote was as follows: Aye$ Banta, Nininger, Turner,
Shinn, Frost; nays none; absent McGee. Carried.
Motion made and gecanded that the council adjourn to meF~t Septa 3Q,~I~19. Carried.
