of this date. Present ~dayor Lamkir.; Councilman Banta, Frost, 1~cGee, Shinn; absent
Nininger, Turner.
~uinutes of the previous meeting were read and app raved as read. Na. 2
Engineer's estimate of amount d~~e Oskar Huber for 840 cu. yde cr~aghed gravel
in place for pavement base ~ ~~Q.00 per cu. yd. amounting to ~2,8~6. C'0, wag presented.
to the coupe il. moved by Santa, seconded by McGee that the Recorder be instructed
to transfer ~2,8~6.00 fr.em V~ater Fund to the Highway Grading and Paving Fund and
said bill bP paid at once. The vote vas 3g follows: Ayes Banta,, Frost, McGee,
Shinn; nays nr7ne; absent ~ininger, Turner. Carried.
Camm.unication from F. E. Rusgill and Besse Clary giving notice of their inten-
tion to exercise their right to terminate their contract with. the City entered into
on the 1st day of January, 192f~, on the 1st day of Iriay, 192Q, was read. loved by
Shinn, seconded by Frost that said contract between Russ ill. and Clary and the City
be terminated on day 1st as requested by them. The vote was as follows Ayeq Bant,a,,
Frost, I~cuee, Shinn; nays none; absent l~ininger, Turner. Carried.
Motion made and seconded that the matter of sQcurin~.~. help for the power plant be left to the Council as a ~'Vhole the mayor to call a special
meeting for said
purpose if necessary. Carried.
Requisition of 4~ater Superintendent for supplies, amounting to ~1i3.30 was
next considered. moved by ~ioGee, seconded by Banta that said requisition be allawod.
The vote was as follows Ayes Banta, Frost, r~icGee, Shinn; nays none; absent Ninfinger
Turner.. Carried.
Requisition of Recorder for office supplies was read. loved by Frost, aecon~aed
by "hinn that said requisition be granted.. The vote was as follows Ayea Banta,
~ Frost, ~CcGee, Shinn; nays none; absent i~ininger, Turner. Carried.
The council next proceeded to consider City Ordinance No• ~9~ entitled "An
ordinance creating an Electric Light r'und, .fixing ~ates for electric service and eatablirhing rules and _regulations~relatinf to and governing thA electric
service, and
fixing a penalty for non-payment of electric service, and repealing City Ordinance 1Vo•
b13." The ordinance having bean read the first time, on notion, the rules were sus•
pended, two-thirdq .voting in' favor thereof, and the ordinance wag passed to the seaond
reading. Having been read the second tine, .roll call wac ordered on the adoption of
the ordinance. The vote wag as follows: Ayeq Banta, Frost, ~:icGee, Shinn; nays, none;
abseht Nininger, Turner.
Thereupon the Mayor declared City Ordinance No. G96 adopted.
Councilman McGee asked to be excused and .,his request was g_~~~anted.

order approximately 1300 feet of sewer pipe at about 25 cents per foot throtagh

McGee, Nininger, Turner, Carried. ~
loved by Banta, seconded by Frost, that the Recorder be instructed to advertise
for bids for the construction of a sewer in the City Park and part of Granite 7t•,
as before described, said bi~~s to be opened at $ o' clock P•~. Tuesday, day 4th, 1920.
There being no further business, on motion, the council adjourned.
