Ashland, Qregon, April 2q, 1g20.
1'he council met at the call of the mayor at 7:30 0' clock P.~t. on the evening of
this data for the purpose of cc~naidering the matter of securing help to operate the
electric light plant. Present b~ayor Lamkin; councilmen Trost, McGee, Shinn; absent
Tanta, rdininger, Turner.
Mayor Lamkin stated that F. Russill was willing to enter into a contract with
the city for the remainder of the year 192p for a consideration of X2,800, said cony
tract to be the sane as that heretofore entered into by'Rusaill and Mary and the city
with the exception that the City only is to have the right to terminate said contract. s
It was moved by S~cGee seconded by Shinn that the City Attorney be instructed to draw up a contract between F. E. RuASill, Jesse Clary, G, ti'V.
King ~.nd the City as agreed
upon by the council and that the savor and Recorder be instructed to sign sarr~e, The
vote was as follows: Ayes Frost, McGee, Shinn; nays none; absent Banta, Nininger, Turner.
Carried.

G. S. Butler, a member of the Park Eoard, addressed the council asking that the Street Commissioner be instructed to sprinkle Mill Street, said
street having recently
been improved by the Park Cor~im~igsion a,nd being in need of sprinkling. On motion, -the
matter was left to the atrePt Committee. ~Ir • Sutler also asked that the Council turn
over to the Park Board two out-~ujldina,~ now located on the old wagon camp ground said
buildings to be _~nozTed to the Auxiliary camp ground in the park. Loved by Frost,
sf:conded by McGee that this request be granted. Carried.
P~r~ ~Galther of the Oregon-California Power Go• addressed. the council in regard to closing up the contr. act stating that everything had been checked
up and afiked that
the final payment be made soon. Councilman Shinn stated that several of the Councilmen
thought the quantities should. be rechecked After some di9cuaeion the council decided
to meat Friday, dray 7th, a.t 7; 30 0' clock P.m. to consider this matter.
dir. E. A. Hoag was present and complained of stock running at large and asked that
the council. take steps to rave game taken care of. The ~~ayor informed i~.t• Hoa~ that he would instruct the Chief of Police 'to look into the
matter..
The hour of $ o'clock having arrived, the Recorder laid bsfare the council sealed
bud filed with her f ' or furnishing all materials, implements and labor., excepting sewer
pipe and pipe speci~~ls, necessary for the construction of a sewer in South Granite
Street Sew►er Oiatrict, as per advartiser.~lent published in the Ashland Tidingq fir the ten
days preceding, date of first publication being 19~~, The proposal was tree
opened and read to the council ag follows:
