Ashland, Qregon, April 29, 1920.
1'he council mat at tre call of the Mayor at 7:30 0' clock P.~i. on the evening of
this date for the purpose of considering the matter of securing help to operate the electric light plant. Present Nayor Zamkin; councilmen frost, ;6cGee,
Shinn; absent
Tanta, Nininger, Turner.
~Gayor Lamkin stated that F. Russill was willing to enter into a contract with
the city for the remainder of the year 192Q for a consideration of ~2,~pO, said con••
tract to be the sane as that heretofore entered into by Russill and Mary and the city
with the exception that the City only is to have the right to terminate said contract.
It was moved by McGee seconded by Shin~a that the City Attorney be instructed to
draw~up a contract between F. E. Russill, Jesse Clary, G. C~. King ~.nd the City as agreed
upon ry the council and that the ~a~vor and Recorder be instructed to sign sarr~e. The
vote was aq follows: Ayes Frost, ~ccGee, Shinn; nays none; absent Banta, Iu'ininger, Turner.
Carried.

minutes of the meetings of April 20t1^. and Apr. 29th last were-read and approved
as read.
G. S. Butler, a member of the Park Board, addressed the council asking that the
Street Commissioner be instructed to Sprinkle Mill Street, eaid street having recently
been improved by the Park Cori~;~ission a,nd being in need of sprinkling, Or, rr,otion, the
matter was left to the street Committee. Dilr• Butler also asked that the Council turn
over to the Park Board two out-bu~iid►h~ now located on the old wagon camp ground said
uildings to be mo ed to the Auxiliary camp ground in the park. loved by Frost,
seconded by McGee that thin request be granted. Carried.

to closing up the contr. act Stating that everything had been checked up and asked that
the final payment be made sown. Councilman Shir.n stated that several of the Councilmen '
thought the quantities :should be rechecked After some digcuesion the council decided
to meet Friday, ~Iay 7th, a.t 7:30 o'clock P.m. to consider this matter.

the counci]. take steps to have same taken care of. The Mayor informed i~i~• Hoa~ that
he would instruct the Chief of Police 'to look into the matter..
The hour of ~ o'clock having arrived, the Recorder Laid before the council sealed
