The time having arrived for the opening of bids for the construction of cement
sidewalk on Third Street, between B and C Streets, in the City of Ashland, Oregon, the Recorder proceeded to read the fo1lo,ring bid:
Ashland, Oregon, Sept. 21, 1920.
To the Honorable Council: .
T:^.is is to certify that I will agree to put in the sidewall: on Third Street,
between B and C Street, for the sum of 53.00, and the old plank from the t~valk.

exception of giving him the old plank, which the city does not own. The vote on the
motion was as follows: Ayes Frost, ~~cGee, Shinn; nays none. Carried.
Request of Pruitt• :Ayers ~o for Co. for permission tc con~~truct an approach from
paving to top of garbing for a front entrance to 19 Fast fain Street, was next conN
gidered. 0n motion, said request was granted, provided the approach is constructed o
of wood.
There being no further business, on motion, the council adjourned to meet Tuesday, Sept. ?3th, at the usual hour. ~ a

. The resolutionhaving been read, ~~on motion, the rules were suspended, taro-thirds
voting in favor thereof and the resolution was passed to the secand rsading. Having
been read thE~ second time, roll call tivas ordered. on the adoption of the resolution,
The vote way as follows , Yes Frost, ,;~cGee, Shinn; naya none.
Thereupon the i~dayor declared the resolution adopted.
~~ir. W. L. Starkey, .representing Keeler Bros. of Portland, addressed the council
in the matter of theissuance of Water Bonds authorized at the special election Meld
Sept. 18th. No action was taken.

~~nd that the City Enginefr make the necessary survey.
On motion, Mr. Pierce's request was granted and the City Engineer instructed to make the necesssxy survey and plans for said improvement.
