The council met pursuant to last adjournment at 7:30 o'clock P.~. on thin date.
Present rJ~yor Laskin; Councilmen Blake, Frost, Rayner, Pierce, Shin; absent Joy.
~~inutes of previous meeting were read and approved as re~~,d,
C. E. Lane and N.~Fi.Lang presentee. a bid for the construction of a ser~rer on upper
Granite Street. ~~rgation mace and seconded that the matter be taken up Frith other bidders.
Cary°ied.
G.zd.Rabison asked for permission to move the -fire hydrant near the Vendome Hotel
to This Street. Py~oved by Shinn, seconded by Harney that the matter be referred to the Fire Committee for a report, Carried.
Petition of the Union Oil Co, for permission to erect a gasoline service station
and De Luxe sign board on the vacant property located on tale }~rthwest corner of the
intersection of East ~~.in and First Streets, ~avas nett considered. Moved b,~ Shinn,
~~m, seconded by Bl~~ke that the yea*u~~st of the Union 0~1 ~o, be granted. The vote was as

Thereupon the Mayor declaxed the proposition lost
Councilman Frost reported that the Cemetery Committee had granted permission for
the erection of the monument in the street of the cer~etery as requested. On motion, the
repast T~ras accepted.
Communication from J.H. and ~~f.G.Sanders asking for a refund of x}27.50 on account
of taxes erroneously collected on property outaide the city limits, was read. Moved by
~ Shibh, seconder. by Harney that the refund be paid Sander Bros. Carried.
C.L.Dergstrom asked for permission to move his barn rrom Walnut street 'co Luna
Vista. The matter was refereed to the Sanitary,Committee nrith no~-er to act.

Report of the deputies of the Fire Ma-shal Department on the existing fire hazards
in the City was read.
On motion the council adjourned.
