Thy council next proceeded to consider proposals of A.G.Lorg Co. and T.H.S:mpGon
fcr firs. hose. After.-some discussion motion uTas made and seconded that the council

~ ~ ' a chance to submit bids on 1 1/2" hose. Carried.

The A.G.Lang Co. a~lao submiti,ed a price on appa:~r~tus v~hich Chief Robison
recor~vr~ended be purchased by the Fire Department. After some discussion it ti►ras moved a.~~

lAr. Hosler reported that the city had approximately 42 tier of cut wood in the
canyon which he thought should be sold and 10/ tier suitable for the c it jfI s use.
On motion of Mr. Joy the matter of selling the 42 tier of wood was left to P:Q Hosler
the price to be not less than $3.00 per tier. The vote was as follow-!: Ayes Blake,
Frost, darner, Joy, Pierce, Shinn; nays none. Carried.
On motion of Mr. Joy Yr. Fraley was instructed to caul the balance of the wood,
amounting to about 19 tier, to the power house and the warehouse. Carried..

The council next proceeded to consider bids far fire hose submitted by Trios, H.
Simpson and A.G.Lon~r Co, of Portland, ~~~~r. Simpson submitted a bid of ~3 cents per
foot for 1 1/2" rubber hose, The A.G.Long Ca. surr~~aitted a bid of X0.95 cents per foot
for 1 1/2" inch ~~ax and Gum Treated Rose, The Fire Chief having recommende~.i that the ~y
City purchase the wax and Gum treatod 'ose, it was moved by Joy, seconded by Si~~inn
that the City accept the of.~er of the A.G.Long Co. The veto vas as folloVrs: Ayes
Frost, Ratner, Joy, Pierce, Shinn, nays none. Carried.

On motion the Recorder was instructed to :advertise for bids for the construction
of the extension of Scenic Drive and June 7th at S o`clock P.M was designated as the e
