Present~'~~~~er~"' ~~"r'~e" Shinn absent Blake Frost, The roguing of the minutes of the previous meeting was dispensed with, Counvilman ~.~ost entered tree room and was ackno~~~leaged present. ~ The council proceeded to consider a proposed ~,gr,eera~ent between G. Butler and the City of Ashland whereby the City agrees to 1°a.se to G.S.Butler, for the period of ~i~ty years, a, tract of land fronting 70 feet on bill Street, provided I~~~r, Butler will erect thereon a building to cost not less t~+an ~r2,300.00, ,*.~hi-ch is to be devoted to the use of the pioneers and the or ga,ni zat ion kno dim ,;~s "iyat ive Sons and Daughters . " Aft~,r some discussion, motion gas: made and seconded that ~.~r, Butler's request was granted gnu the :;~greE:rr~ent approved, the vote on the mot ion being as follo~,~ : Ayes Frost, Harnor, ,Pierce, Shinn; nays none, Carried, Motion made and second~;d that l~r Butler be granted the use of the it eam fa 'i~'~' r°~~~ b c y t r~ .~~,ing the ditch for the se~arer connection for said Pioneers Building, Carried. i~lr, Bell;, representing Wallace and Ti~ornan Co,, addressed the council relative to the installation of a chlorination plant in the Cannon, Some question having arisen as to whether or not the chlorin ire the water rG=,n be tatted; 'l~~r. Shinn said requests were granted. The council nett discussed the matter of irrigation of the small perk in the ?'laza.
