Pierce; C;~uncilmen Barber, Buraic, Detrick, Liniriger, Peters, Wolcott; absent none.

Bill of T.L. Powell for hauling granite to Oak Street, Van Hess Ave, and Yfountain
Avenue was presentedl~flotion was made and seconded tr~at i~~r. Pawell's bill of ~11~.50 for
hauling to Oak Street be allor~ed, The vote ;vas as follo~vs: Ayes Larber, I3urdic, Lir~in~rer,
Peters, Pierce, Wolcott; nsys none. Carried,
Y~~~oved by ~~olcatt, seconded by Hardie that that rortion of the bill for hauling to l~lountain Avenue be considered at a later date. Carried,

The council again considered the reryuest of G.F.Billings, J.P.I~o~=by and others asking
that the City grant then, rerrrliss ian to br ink t}"ie r~rat er fox th~;ir lands lying; ~xaest of and
adjacent to Ashland through the ditch and syphon used by the City to convey grater purchased by them from t~~e T~~lent Irrigation District. On rc~otian
of Burdic, seconded by Barber this
matter was placed in tree hands of the t"ater Corrrnittee.
The matter of leasing the hcsrital Seas next discussed. 11lotion E~ra,s made and seconded
that the P~~~ayor appoint a committee to confer ti~rith Yrs. Laomis in regard to a ne~~~ lease.
Carried. The l~~,yor then appointed as such cor~nittee Councilmen Burdie, Peters and Hardy of
the ir~cc?min~r cauncil.
1'he council. next considered tYie rr~7uest of Cla.,rence Lane for rermission to place a
vertical sib in the rarl:~ray in front of his property on the F~auleva.~~d. Moved by But°dic, seconded by peters that the request be not granted azrl
that the Chief of Police be instructed
to cause the removal of the sign in front of the ~~.~.Id. ~exvice ~taticn. Carried.
On ~~cti~~n-of~ Burdic, seccn~~ed by Barber, the ,request of R.E.Detrick for permission to
build a sY~ed in the rear of his store on Forth rein Street, was granted,
The matter of fixing a mater rate for the Lithian Hotel far building; purposes ti~as
left to the ~4ater Superintencl~nt.
P~lotion ma~la and secanded that tY1e council consider the matt~;x of the budget for 1825
on Tue>day, l~yov, lath, 1G2~, and that the Recorder be ins ~ructE;d to notify the different
departments to prepare ertirratPa on a;card~ .ce ~vith the lair, to be considerea at said i
u~eeting. Carried,
On oration, A. E .Kinney, S.B.Mc~wir, T. H. Sinmsor~, C C. I'~eisenburger, B.M Shoudy,
F.J.r~lurphy and J.H.~~cGee ~~rere appointed the Budget Committee and the Recorder instructed
to notify them of their arpointrrent.
T. L.Po~~rell asked that the City lay a eater main to 1~~tantwin Avenue to supply hire with
~+ra,ter for wasl-~:in~~~ gravel. The ~.aatPr Sut~t, rF;ported that ~pproxi~ately 2100 feet of 2" pipe
~rould be rewired for this line and the east would propably be ~;}~00.00. Y~~OVed by Burdic
seconded by Raxber that the request be not granted. Carried.

The City Flec ~rician asked thatibe grante,~ authority to purchase transformers for the nevi hotel. Y.~oved by Burdic, seconded ~y Barber that said
request be granted. Carried.
