The council met, pursuant to last adjournment, at 7:30 o'clock P.Pi. on this date, u,

Annual report of the Recorder ~;r~s read and, on motion, accepted and ordez°ed placed ~ f
on files and the Recorder instructed to have same published. ~ ~

1 Proved by Bergner seconded by Woods that the Recorder be instructed to transfer
X325.00 per month from the Water Fund to the Talent 4~~ater Sinking Fund to take care of
they°payments due on the ;~2~,500 issue of Talent Notes. Carried.

Council Peters reported that the V~ater Committee had granted E.R.Hosler permission
to take over the ambulance for remodeling but later found that a better deal could be had
~ from the Glaycomb p~otor Co. by~`turning the ambulance in complete. The total cost of a rir~
new truck fully equipped was found to be 707.25, the allowance on the ambulance w~25.00,
leaving X382.25 to be paid b y the City. ~~oved by Bergner seconded by Thornton that I~~rr. Hosler be granted authority to buy a new truck from the
Claycomb P~otor Co. and that the
Recorder be instructed to transfer ~p325.00 from Vx~ater Fund to the Ho$pital Fund .for the
ambulance. The vote on the motion was ~as follows: Ayes Bergner, Peters, Thornton, Woods;
nays none. Carried.

Water Supt, Hosler requested authority to a aump attachment for the new truck.
Moved by Thornton seconded by VJooa.s that P~~Zr. Hosler be authorized. to have said attach- ment placed on the truck at a cost not exceeding w40.00 additional.
Carried unanimously.
The hour of 8:30 o'clock having arrived the council proceeded to consider the bids
submitted for furnishing the city with pipe and fittings for the new distribution system. ~ ,
`s'he bids having been opened aniz read it ~~~~as moved by `~'hornton seconded by Peters that
the matter of letting the bids be deferred to 12:30 o'clock Saturday, Jan. 29th. Carried. ,W.

care of the bookkeeping for the new ~~F~ater project. Houncilman Bergner has investigated

plan a portion of the amount collected for auto licenses and roads will go to the City.
Moved by Moods seconded by Bergner that ;!Mayor Pierce be requested to send a letter of
approva? of said measures to Commissioner Barbour. Carried. ~t.
Proved by Thornton seconded by Bergner that the action of the r,~rayor and ,'eater
Smpt. in having wood cut for the City Departments at the rate of X1.50 a tied be
ratified. Carried.
Councilman Peters reported the closing of the deal for the deed to the• land for
the extnesion of Pienry Street., ~
~~he complaint of Pers. F. B. Holman on Terrace Street regarding the water from the 8
8 City's ditch which she claims is flooding her land, was referred to .the V~ater Committee.
The request of Mr. Rush for permission to cut the tree standing in the street
' near his service station at the corner of Ashland St. and the Boulevard, ~~aas referred t~,
