June 8, 1995 Ms. Jill Turner Finance Director City of Ashland Ashland, OR 97520 Dear Ms. Turner: On behalf of Southern Oregon Women's Access to Credit (SOWAC), I want to thank the City of Ashland for supporting our proposal. The City helped SOW AC get started and I am pleased that we can continue the partnership in assisting business development and encouraging a healthy economic climate for Ashland. Please express our appreciation to the City Council and to the committee. Because the City of Ashland grant covers 1995-96 and was 39 % of our requested amount, I have made the following revisions to our plan: 1. Goal 1: Provide an entrepreneurship training program in two tracks. Objective for 1995/96: conduct two Track 1 training programs and enroll at least six Ashland entrepreneurs, overall. 2. Goal 2: Provide a business mentorship program to match selected training graduates with successful business people who can offer specific assistance and support to protegees (participants in mentoring).
