Councilman ~'dhite reported on the request of Carter ~ Car~lpbell for permission to maa~- tain ~ used car sales lot on F~.st Bain Street, sesting that he found the shed to be can- ~a~ strutted did not conform to the provisions of the ordinance governing the erecting of buildings ~Frithin the fire limits. Mayor `hornton stated that he ana tY~le '~~`later and Lig~lt Superintendents had examined the paved streets i~l need of repair and ~r~ere of the opinion that the trouble with the pavement was often caused by the curb and gutter separating from the pavement and.allow- ing the water to seep through. He recommended that th~~c~acks be coverer ~~~ith Laykold. After some discussion it was moved by ~~Thite seconded by Moods that the `Jlater Supt. be authorized and instructed to use the Zaykold on hand to patch the pavement in need of repair.
