Denton rega~~ding the matter of changing the sidewalk crossing at her north I~~;ain Street property. Ile said ld,rs. Denton stated that she had a"atained permission ~f the Street Commissioner to have E~ this crossing constructed and she felt that she should not be required to stand the expense of r_nal~ing the change. It eras decided th~.t the City rake the necessary changes. A'~complaint regarding; the drainage ~vater from the ;'g'olf basement into the storm se~~a? at the corner of ~ fifth and B Streets eras referred to the o~~t~ ter Superintendent far inves- 24 Ligation. Bill of the Claycomb l~~lotor Co. for the new truck for the Street Department, amounting to ;;;950.00 was read. Roved by Blake secon~aed by Hersey that the ?ecorder be authorized. to draw a ~~rarrant in payment of said bill. Carried unanimously. The matter of installing a sprinl.~ling system in the cemeteries v~ras left to the Cemetery Committee. Councilman Hersey recommended tl~e purchase oi' a Ford Coupe for the :electric Night Department and the trading in o:~''the old Chevrolet, the total cost to the City to be t;~488.00. ~~oved by Taylor s:~conded by Ber~r~er that the City purchase a :Ford Coupe on tie terms s~ec:ifzed.
