The council met in regular session at '7:30 o'clock I'.I~. on this date. rresent ~Iayar
Thornton; Councilmen Bergner, Blake, Claycomb, Taylor; absent Hersey, ti`renner.
~Linutes of the previous meeting ti}rere read and approved as read.
Bills 0'H'd by the finance Committee, amounting to X1508.00, were read in total amount
only. ~~oved by Blake seconded by Claycomb that said bills be allotted and warrants ordered ~ drawn in payment thereof. The vote was as follo~TS:
Ayes Bergner, Bla?~e, Claycomb, Tayler;
nays none. Carried.

~~r. ~'7auchope presented a plan for lighting Irorth P<<~.in and Granite Streets, and furnished
estimates of the approximate cost of the improvement. After some discussion it was moved
by Bergner seconded by Claycomb that the council approve the plan of the Supt. of the Electric
Light Department for the lighting of T~orth I~flain and Granite Street and ~linburn `ray and that he be instructed to get a sample pole and set it
up. Carried unanimously.

The City Attorney reported that a check far X1'75.00 had been deposited with him for
perpetual upkeep of the Elizabeth A. Smith cemetery lot.
n Councilman Bergner recvmmended the adoption of the following water rates for the Lithia
Camp GBOUnd:
,5v A charge of 40 cents per fixture per month. If cabins or fixtures are discontinued. f~~, in the ti;Tinter the ~~~ater Supt. will seal the

fi,~tur~s are again in operation. Moved by .Glaycomb seconded by Blake that the
report be accepted and said rates for the camp around be adopted. Carried.
Moved by Bergner seconded b~T Tayler that the rate for Lay's carp outside the city
51 limits shall be a minimum of ~~15.00 per month for the first 1500 cubic feet with a
charge of 8 cents for each additional 100 cu'aic feet thereafter, I~~r. Lay to be charged for the Faster meter and cost of pipe and installation. Carried
unanimously. The
Recorder was instructed to notify Ins. Lay that these rates are subject to readjustment.

I'he Peoples Elec~~ric Store submitted a proposal on Frigidaire equipment for the
Lithia Fountain. Their price for a nevi machine, less a credit for the old system, was
X495.00. >r
Edwards Ice machine ~ Supply Company of Seattle proposed to install a new Refriferating
unit, together with a water cooling system for ~~'',810 plus approximately~,'75.00 for installa-
tiara.
IG~fir. Bergner was anthvr~ed to go ahead ~*rith the improvement.
I~~r. E. T. Staples offered to insure the City's cars, trucks, tractor and grader against property damage and public liability for X230.00. 1GIr.
Staples cdtas requested to include
the new road roller in his proposal.
I,~r~. Hosler asked that he be granted authority to purchase a kerosene burner for the
tar pot for the street repairing outfit. It was ~aoved by Bergner seconded b y Blake that
the '~'Jater Supt. be granted authority to buy the burner. Carried.
Councilman Blake recommended that the City purchase a Chevrolet Coupe for the 'eater
Department. After some discussion it was moved by Blake seconded b y Bergner that a
Chevrolet Coupe be purchased as recommended. Carried unanimously.
