Present: Mayor "Jiley, Councilmen Blake, Greg, Ingle, assent: Councilmen xp~ple~ahite, Hansen, ~~enner. F. J. ~Chiakj Farlow was present and stated tklat hpplevahite had left and that it would s be necessary to close the relief office unless some other arrangements could be made. He ~ stated that he would take over the duties for X50.00 per Month additional to the 'a50 00 he w now getting. He did not think that federal funds could be secured for this purpose, It wasas decided to defer the matter until the next council meeting. Letters of resignation of councilmen Applev~rhite and '~~enner were read, loved by Gregg that the resignations be accepted and a vote of thanr~s be extended to them. Seconded by Blake. Carried. The City Superintendent suu~ritted a list of water and light customer's accounts subject to adjustment for various reasons ana totalling credits of X119,04. Committeee Resorts: Street: Frank Davis Street superintendent stated that it was advisable to obtain some additlona land fror~ J. R. Gi~sori in order to ti~riden the roan. at the point ~ahere Scenic Drive and 'Timer Heights met and he could obtain same in exchange for perpetual upkeep for the cemetery lot belonging to itiir. Gi~~son which consisted of 4~ spaces, the upkeep price of which was X67,50. The land was not thou4°ht worth over half of this amount and it was decided that • the Street Department pay half ~r ~~~~~.75 to the Cemetery Trust ~~Znd far tlris piece of land to apply on the upkeep and the balance to come fror~l a transfer from the emergency account of the general fund.
