Hicks and C. Riegel for the month of 4 Septe~lber, 1932, were read and, on motion, accepted and orderec_ placed on file. Bills O.K'd by the Finance Committee, amounting to ~~18.00 were presentec_ and, on motion, ordered paid. l~,~rs. A. C. Keller addressed the council stating that the City had cut five trees in r front of her property. ahe claimed that this had damaged her lot, greatly reducing its value. ;'his matter was referred to the City attorney for investigation. ~ ~~r. G. Green asked that the City donate ~~~30t.00 to the Nave the I~~ormal Fund. After some discussion it was, r~~oved by Claycomb, seconded by Make that the City grant ~"r. Green's request and that this amount be transferred f t j rom he electric Lunt Fund to the Emergency Fund. Carried. ~~1a yor Thornton brought up the r.~1~a tter of marking the traffic lanes at the schools, recomm- ending that metal traffic markers be purchased for this pur~ose. Councilman ~;~,'enncr brought up the matter of re-roofing the hospital. ~~e said it would cost approximately X300.00 for Johns-f~ansville shingles. On motion of Claycomb, seconded by Blake, the Realty Committee was empo`,rered to ~°all for bids and to proceed ~Srith the shingling of the hospital. ~rotion was ffiade and seconded that a Budget Committee be appointed by the Tj;~yor to act tFrith the Council in preparing the Judget yor 1933, anti that the Committee meet ~'hursday, Oct. 27th, at 7:30 o'clock P.?2.
