The council met in regular session at 7:30 P. iVi. oTclock this date. Present Miayor i~iley; Councilmen 3ergner, Gregg, Liriinger, Taylor,
enner. Absent Councilman Claycomb.

Monthly report of Ray Spencer, car~tai-~er of the City Dump Ground was read, accepted
and ordered placed on file.
Yr Dills amounting to X3348.04 were presented in total amount only and on motion were
approved and warrants ordered dra~vn to cover the individual amounts.
~r' The following building permits were granted: as
No. 269. Emma Koehler to erect garage anu wood shed and reroof house at
140 Nursery St. good construction. ;200.00
No. 270. Hattie Mahlsteh to remodel house, new roof and paint at 176 Harrison St. X150.00
No. 271. Eugene Spencer to repair and paint house at 2n3 Seventh St. x;200.00
• No. 272. Erect garage for C. v`dolters by Geo. Riley, at 354 Liberty St. X125.00
Communications from ~~~lm Sriggs former City Attorney relating to the status of legal
affairs of the City and from George V. McClure accepting the appointment of City Attorney
without compensation vJere read and accepted and ordered ,},laced on file.

Gregg moved that the applications of J. D. ~'dakefield living in rear of 954 Boulevard
and of Mrs Mayberry at 2~5 Third Street ~'or free lights ~~1.00 Min.) and water be granted
to July 1, 1933. Seconded by Taylor and unanimously carried.
Reports of Committees.
Finance: ~~denner move;i that X1500 be transferred from the Electric bight Fund to the
General Fund as a, temporary loan. Seconded and carried.

Fire: None.
Water: Mr Hosler stated that it was time to eng~~ge a z~an to chec land for irrigation
and that he recommended i~r I. J. Sawyer for the job. Mr Sawyer owing the City over X100 for
delinquent water. Bergner moved that the ~idater Committee engage a man to per`orT~1 the duty
~ ~ of checking irrigation water. Seconded by ~'denner and unanimously carried.
Street: None.
Realty: The application of C. F. Bishop to care for the lawns of the par~ti ro4v of the
Boulevara was on ~otio,~ of Bergner referred to the bight Committee with.the suggestion that
Elmer Smith supervise the cutting of grass etc, in past years. Seconded by Taylor and un-
animously carried.
Bergner moved that the renting of the house at the fir Port be referred to the air Port
Committee with power to act. Seconded by ~~~denner and unanimously carried.

Indigent: None. ~I
The subject of dog licenses was referred to the City attorney.
I__ The report of the Mayor's Non-Intoxicating ~3everage Committee and the proposed City
Ordinance No. 917, licensing, regulating and controlling the manufacture, sale and distrib-
uting of non-intoxicating beverages tiaras read by City attorney i~~cClure, also a petition Faith
134 signatures against the ordinance tivas read. Taylor moved that the petition be placed on
file. Seconded by Zininger and unanimously carried.
The council next proceeded to consider the proposed City Ordinance No. 917 on Non-
` Intoxicating Beverages. The ordinance having been res.. the first tine, on notion, the rules
~I y were suspended, z'ive voting in i'avor thereof and the ordinance w<~s passed to the second
i ~ reading. Having been read the second time, Taylor moved that ttie ordin~~nce be adopted,
ry Zininger seconded the motion and roll call vraa ordered on its adoption. The vote was as
follows: Ayes, Bergner, Gregg, Zininger, Taylor, '~denner,. Thereupon the Mayor declared City
Qrdinance No. 917 adopted.
Bergner moved that the t'orm of applicatio3l and the corm for license be a1~4~roved and
adopted for use in connection with the operation of the license as provided by the ordinance,

The rVIayor asked if arly or~ein the audience had any thing to say. Rev. S. ~"J. Hall, pastor
of the ~Tethodist Episcopal Church re ;nested that the petition against the passa~:~ of the
ordinance be made a matter of record. As same had already been ordered placed on file, no
action was considered necessary.
On motion, the council adjourned to meet at the call of the Mayor.
