Committee reports: A complaint regarding an incinerator i~l the rear of Hardy~s Store ~~aas referred to the Police and Sanitary Committee. An ordinance regarding the stoz~age of explosives changed to meet the requirements of the State Fire IarshallTs Office ~~~as referred to the .Fire ~Comrnittee. An ordinance relating to the rebonding of propertGr assessed for local irlprovements v~aas re- (erred to the Finance Corr~mittee. ~~oved by ~'tenner that the ~~ity F,ngineer and Street Department male the necessary arrangements for the new paving and the City .recorder advertise for bids to be open June 20th at 8 P. u'I. Consideration of changes irr tree City Jail were brought up and suggestion that a jail committee be ap,~ointed. %Ioved by Claycomb that the cor~mittee investigate the possibilities of a new jail and report bacL at the neat meetinJ, seconded by `~'Tenner. Henry ~wrter asY~ed the council to have approxirlately 10 acres of 7..and taken out of the ".ity limits. This land ►~eing loca~ed on the edge of torn ~et~7een the railroad tracts and Bear Creek. Moved by -~'lenner that the matter be referred to the Cit4~ ~~ttorney ?~nd C,ity Engineer to report back. Seconded by Gregg. Carried.
