The Council met in special session at '1:30 P. I,I. this date. Present Mayor ~~~iley; Councilmen Applew"riite, 3ergner, Blake, Gregg, Tayler, ~a7enner;
absent Councilman--None.
The purpose of the meeting was to study the budget for the year 1935 which had been
approved by the Finance Committee. This Budget called for an expenditure of X65,190.50
ar a reduction of X60.90 over the previous year, provided but two patrolmen were employ-
ed by the Police Department, or ;66,220.50 if three patrolmen were authorized. Following
a lengthy and thorough discussion and studuT, it was moved ~y ~lenner that the budget be adopted as prepared, subject to final decision on the employment
of an additional patrol-
man at the joint meeting of to City Council and Citizen's Budget Committee. Seconded
by Blake, carried.
On motion, the Council adjourned to r~eet at the call of the Mayor.

The Council met in regular session at '7:30 P. this date. Present ~iayar ~~~i1ey;
Councilmen Apple~rhite, Bergner, 3lalre, Gregg, Tayler, Wenner; absent Councilman--None.
Minutes of previous meetings were read and approved as read.
1~onthly reports of the Dump Ground and Police Judge were read, accepted and ordered
placed on file. The latter report subject to showing hereafter the amount of unpaid
fines an each report.

Bills amounting to X6887.26 were read as to total amount only, same having been
OK'ed by the Finance Committee. ~~oved by Tayler and seconded by Bla~;e that the bills be allowed, Roll call was ordered. The vote being--Ayes, 6;
~~ays, 0. The bill for Guy
Applewhite for gasoline for X12.65 was taken up separately. Moved by 'N`7enner, seconded by
Gregg that the bill be allowed. Carried.
The City Attorney reported on the Jules F. Cole mortgage stating that the records
seemed to indicate that there was about X900.00 still owing.I
A lewhite reported on the Grandview Drive road and. the securing of right-aways.

The application of Anil Peil to lease his paint shop in rear of his store for a
poultry killing establishment was upon r~~otion ~y '~~Jenner, referred to the City Health
Ofx~icer, Dr. Harvey '~~oods for recommendation. Seconded by Tayler, carried.
On motion, the Council adjoin°ned to rseet at the call of the Mayor.

~~enner and the Citizen's Committee consisting of T. H. Simpson, G. '~7. Dunn, F. R. Hardy,
A. J. ~cCallen, Kinney and G. H. Billings; absent, none.
The Mayor announced the purpose of the meeting was to adopt the budget for the year
1935.
George 'N, Dunn and P. R, Hardy were unanimously elected Chairman and Secretary,
respectfully.
The budget was taken up item by item by funds, questions being asked in all cases as to increases, with more or less discussion following.
