January 29, 2019 City of Ashland 51 Winburn Way Ashland, Oregon 97520 Attention: Chance Metcalf Subject: Ashland Fire Station#1 Fire Alarm System Replacement Budget Proposal Dear Chance, Northwest Fire Suppression, Inc. is pleased at the opportunity to provide this budget proposal for the replacement of the existing Safetech Fire Alarm System for the Ashland Fire Station#1 building. This proposal is based on the following assumptions and contingencies: • This proposal is contingent on the acceptance by the AHJ for limiting the scope to replacement of the existing Safetech addressable initiating devices (smoke detectors, pull stations, heat detectors, relay modules, monitor modules, etc.)on a device-for-device basis with new, and maintaining existing locations, and replacement of the fire alarm control panel with new. • This proposal assumes all existing device locations are code compliant locations and installed in code compliant manner and methods. • This proposal assumes that the existing method of signal transmission to a central station monitoring service will be via phone lines and will remain. • This proposal assumes there is sufficient space for the new FACP in the same room as the existing Safetech FACP. • This proposal includes services including disconnection of the 120VAC power and reconnection of the 120VAC power required to swap out the main Fire Control Panel. • This proposal assumes the existing Gentex horn/strobe devices will remain as is and the new FACP will operate these devices. • This proposal includes replacement of any addressable relay modules and detection devices that may exist for elevator recall purposes. This proposal assumes we will have access to the elevator machine room for this purpose and that the City of Ashland will coordinate and compensate the elevator service provider to gain access to the elevator shaft so we can replace devices in this area and test these devices for proper operation after the new devices are installed and operational. • This proposal includes replacement of existing addressable monitor modules that are monitoring the existing fire sprinkler system. This proposal assumes City of Ashland will coordinate and compensate the fire sprinkler service provider in order to confirm proper operation of the fire sprinkler switches and valves after they are connected to the new system. • This proposal is based on device counts obtained from testing reports provided by City of Ashland. • This proposal assumes there is no existing Remote Annunciator Unit nor is one going to be required. If a Remote Annunciator exists, or if one is to be required, this will be provided at an additional cost. • Product proposed is manufactured by FireLite and is an open distributed type of product available to all Fire Alarm Contractors as requested by the Owner.
