The tree is losillg as Substantial number ol'stems and IIaS StIAICtUral defects, In my profiessional opinion as at certified Arborist, I believe the tree shOUld be removed and replaced with as more Suitable tree and in as new, better location. Thank YOU, Kyle Bartell Certified Arborist PN -6891 A Email: Roguetreecarengmail.eom CCB: 220377 PN -6891A To Whom it may concern, July 26, 2021 There is an American Elm (Ulmus americana) tree with a DBH of approx.32.15 "that is located in the parking lot of Ashland First Congregational United Church of Christ at 717 Siskiyou Blvd that has included bark and bifurcated trunk and imposes a hazard to the entire surrounding area. The tree is losing a substantial number of large stems and has structural defects which makes the tree an imminent danger of people and the structures in the vicinity. The large stem making up of approx..1/3 of the crown cannot be cabled as to there is not enough sound wood and anchor point to install a cable system. when in the event the rest of the stem fails immeasurable property damage may occur. Mitigation by process of pruning giving all the structure defects and the amount of tree that would need to be removed would only postpone and worsen the problem. In my professional opinion with the facts of the target zone including homes, fences cars and the people that occupy the immediate area under and around the tree it is an imminent danger. As a certified Arborist, I believe the tree should be removed immediately and replaced with a more suitable tree in a new, better location.
