Special Meeting Minutes
April 04, 2019
CALL TO ORDER
Meeting to order at 4:00 pm in the Siskiyou Room at the Community Development and Engineering Offices
located at 51 Winburn Way, Ashland OR 97520.

QUESTIONS FOR SOCIAL SERVICE GRANT APPLICANTS TO ANSWER DURING PRESENTATIONS
The Commissioners discussed the questions they had after reading the Social Service Grant applications. The
Commissioners identified three questions that they would like applicants to address within their presentations.
Please address the clientele, activities, or programs that are specific to Ashland.
What would happen if you don’t get this funding or would you still be able to undertake this activity/program if you
receive less funding that was requested?
How many are being served in Ashland versus Medford or Jackson County?
The Commissioners also discussed the agenda for the Social Service Grant presentations and commission
deliberations. It was decided that each applicant would have 5 minutes to present. Presentations could end at
6:30. The Commissioner’s would take a brief break after presentations to eat in the Lithia Room and then
reconvene at 7 PM to discuss the applications, make final adjustments to the allocation sheet and make final
award recommendations. It was decided that the Conflict of interest statements should come first thing after the
commission reconvenes.

The meeting was adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
