Voice Vote: All Ayes. Motion passed Public Forum - None Holiday Meeting Schedule Discussion The Commissioners discussed potential alternate dates for the regular meetings in November and December. It was decided that the Staff Liaison Reid would ask OHRA if they could th reschedule the tour of the OHRA center to November 17 from 4-6 pm. If that option was not available, the Commissioners asked Reid if she could check with Columbia Care to see if the Rogue Ridge development might accommodate a tour for that date and time. Annual Update to the Council Presentation The Commissioners reviewed the materials provided and made some minor changes. It was decided that Commissioners Fields and Reppond would present the Annual Update to the Council, and that Commissioner Fields would work with Reid to put together a power point presentation. Update on the Jackson County Response Team (Cahoots) Rohde provided a brief overview of the Jackson County Response Team. It was asked if either Rohde or Reid could reach out to Rick Rawlings or Stacy Brubaker to see if one of them would be willing to provide some education to the Commission at their retreat regarding the Jackson County Response Team. Change from a Commission to a Committee Overview Reid explained that very little would change for the Commission in this process. Unlike some Commissions, the new HHSAC would continue to meet monthly and would continue to make recommendations to the Council on all of the same funding sources. Liaison Reports The Commissioners wanted if staff could give them an update at a future meeting regarding the one million dollar grant from the State of Oregon, where the funding went (was it dedicated to the Affordable Housing Trust Fund?) And how is the City proposing to allocate that funding. Reid will connect Rosenburg with Jamie Gatewood from the Fair Housing Council of Oregon to discuss the topic of students and fair housing issues. The next regular meeting in November will be an in person meeting at 4PM, location and agenda TBD. Next Housing Commission Regular Meeting November 17, 2022 Adjournment: adjourned the meeting at 6:00p.m. Respectfully submitted by Linda Reid
