Absent members were Vaughn and Tiffany. Staff present were Madding and Yates. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Hill moved approval of the October 30, 1996 minutes, Kenefick seconded the motion and the minutes were approved. PRESENTATION BY DIANE DAVIS Diane Davis, Manager, Klamath First Federal spoke to the Commission about the process a home buyer goes through when taking out a mortgage loan. She described the types of low income loans such as a five percent down plus closing costs, a ten percent down loan, or a low income housing loan (which is not used in Ashland because house prices are higher). Kenefick wondered if the Housing Commission could send a letter to Klamath First explaining Ashland's higher priced market and ask that they review so Ashland could participate. HUD LIMITS Ware is still working on putting together housing information to present to HUD to raise the HUD limits. Kenefick suggested if Ware cannot find all the information he is looking for to contact Ron Wyden's office. ANNEXATION The revisions to the annexation ordinance will be coming up on the next Council agenda. It was decided that a letter should be written from the Affordable Housing Commission to the Council. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 5:30 p.m.
