OTHER Hill explained her suggestion that developers annexing land put money in a fund for affordable housing in lieu of building affordable housing. Her idea was for the money to be given to non-profit agencies who could use the funds as seed money for home grants. She would just like to see this idea used someplace. She also said whether land is annexed on the hillside or on the flat land, if a fund were developed for affordable housing, it would be an opportunity to provide housing for the really needy. Tiffany added that it was better to have a consistent policy no matter what the policy. Madding said all the information would be passed onto Staff, the City Attorney, and the Council. Sea asked Madding the best way to request things from Madding. Madding said she envisions herself participating with each subcommittee and deciding from that point what her tasks are. Madding also noted she is always available by phone. ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 4:20 p.m. ASHLAND HOUSING COMMISSION 2 MINUTES JUNE 26, 1996
