HomeMy WebLinkAbout2016-06-17 Public Arts MIN Minutes Public Art Commission Special Meeting June 17, 2016 Attendance Commissioners: Garrington, Merchant, Bussell, Newman, Friend, Block-Brown, Seltzer (staff liaison) Absent: None Minutes: Minutes of the April, March and June 6 meetings were approved as amended. Citizen Issues: None Council liaison update: Councilor Lemhouse provided a brief update on current issues including the downtown smoking ban, climate change and health care initiative. Zoccola presentation Friend provided an overview of Zoccola’s upcoming visit including the presentation at the Art Center and evening presentation to the City Council Theater Corridor RFQ Bussell updated the contact list for the Theater Corridor project. She will send the updated list and a general message to be included by individual PAC members. . There are 13 pages of contacts. The following pages and list of contacts was divided among the group. MG pages 1, 2 RBB 3, 4 SF 5, 6 DB 7, 8, 13 LM 9, 10 RN 11, 12 The group agreed to complete the outreach work in two weeks. Other Max Reinhold has resigned from the PAC. Friend and Garrington have approved the two of the three stages of the Calle mural: wall preparation and the half way point of painting. They will review the third phase when notified that the artist has finished. The third phase is to check for detail and to ensure the mural is executed according to the approved concept design.
