Presentation by Independent Auditors – Moss Adams, LLP
McCleary-Moore presented highlights of the FY2020 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
(CAFR) and noted the complement of the FY2020 Component Unit Financial Report (CUFR). It
was noted that staff and the auditors had reviewed the definition of component unit and were in the
process of confirming with the State of Oregon and the City’s Legal Department the
appropriateness of eliminating the separate report for Ashland Parks and Recreation Commission
as it does not meet the definition.

Purcell updated the Commission on the financial policies adopted by City Council on December 1,
2020.

Everson/Slattery moved to accept of the Parks Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and
the City Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. Discussion: None. Roll Call Vote: Slattery,
Everson, Hunter: YES. Motion passed unanimously.
