Parks & Recreation Liaison –peter mentioned that a baseball field at NMountain is being converted to a
soccer field as it is seen as a more popular sport
Community Development Liaison –Anderson showed the survey 123 backend that is being used to solicit
nomination for tree of the year.

DESCRIPTION:A request to remove one mature sweetgum trees at the property located at 2245 Ashland
St. The tree is estimated to be 10-12 inches DBH and stands 25-30’ tall. The root system has caused extensive
upliftto the surrounding parking area creating a tripping hazard. The applicant wishes to resurface the parking lot
which can not be done without the removal of this tree.

Anderson briefly presented the applicationand the tree commission briefly deliberated.
