Our advanced remote sensing technology and expertise position us to significantly contribute to the City's environmental and urban planning efforts, focusing on identifying and managing dead and dying Douglas Fir trees within the Ashland Watershed and city lands Project Overview This project aims to use Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) equipped with LiDAR, Multispectral, and Visible Light (RGB) payloads to identify dead and dying Douglas Fir trees within the City of Ashland. It also aims to update a comprehensive database of these trees using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology, providing the city with accurate shapefiles and aerial imagery of the forest stand. Deliverables Our service will provide, but is not limited to, the following key deliverables: • Point Shapefile of Vegetation: This includes four classes—Healthy, Declining, Dieback, and Dead—of Douglas Fir trees, symbolized and classified according to their health status. • Polygon Shapefile of Canopy: The canopy areas in the entire study area will be classified into the four classes mentioned above. • Classified LAS Point Cloud: Multispectral and RGB data will be processed to provide a classified point cloud, which will assist in detailed analysis and reporting. • Orthophotos: High-resolution RGB and Multispectral orthophotos will be captured during the UAS missions, delivered in .TIF format. These will provide detailed visual data for the entire study area. • Comprehensive Report: A detailed report will include charts, graphs, and a map of the identified trees' health status. It will be provided in PDF format to summarize the findings and provide actionable insights. Cost Breakdown • UAS Assessment of Dead and Dying Douglas Fir: $16,000 Total Estimated Cost: $16,000 Optional Service: ArcGIS Online Dashboard using City of Ashland GIS Portal Conclusion Rogue Reconnaissance is committed to delivering high-quality, precise UAS remote sensing services to the City of Ashland. We look forward to collaborating and providing valuable data that will aid in the management and conservation of the city's forested areas. Rogue Reconnaissance Eli Polsky 4951 Griffin Creek Rd.
