The Vice-Chair of the Climate Policy Commission will:
Assist the Chair and City Staff with developing agendas and packet materials for commission
meetings
Facilitate the commission meetings when the Chair is not able to attend
Represent the Climate Policy Commission in meetings that the Chair is unable to attend
Work with the Chair to deliver the annual report to Council on behalf of the Commission
Assume the Chair role at least as an interim in the event that the Chair can no longer fulfill their
obligations

Is there a motion to approve the following as CPC's policy recommendation?
"Consistent with its charge and consistent with the adopted Climate and Energy Action Plan, the
Climate Policy Commission, recommends the City of Ashland develop a specific timeline in
which new fossil gas infrastructure shall cease to be built, including new service connections.
CPC further recommends that all existing gas equipment and appliances be electrified as they
reach the end of their service life."
