VII. ONGOING BUSINESS
A. April public outreach hike (Brandy, 10 min)
Brandy invited AWTA to April 18th hike on Lower Wonder trail. Brandy will
advertise it through various channels. Chambers and Franco will send photos.
B. APRC Lithia Park Master Plan Update (Landt/Minica, 2 min)
No updates at this point.
C. Trails Master Plan Update (Landt, 2 min)
Trails Master Plan was approved by City Council.
D. Parks Trails and Lithia Hillside Project (Minica, 10 min)
No report
E. AFR Project Update (Chambers, 5 min)
Pile burning is ongoing but much of the remaining area is limited by access due to
snow.
F. City Lands Management Update (Chambers/Main, 10 min)
Chambers talked about underburning plans for Hald-Strawberry and Acid Castle parcels.
VIII. NEW BUSINESS
A. Unauthorized Trails discussion(Franco, 15 min)
Franco will bring together information about illegal trails from the Ashland Forest
Plan, Ashland Watershed Trails EA, and the Trails Master Plan. Chambers will talk
with Minica about verifying the locations of unauthorized trails via GIS data and
mapping.
IX. COMMISSIONER COMMENTS
Franco gave an update on Art on Fire. The show will open at Fire Station#1 on May 1 and
1
stay until June.
Kent Romney discussed the Wildfire Safety Commission's campaign on wildfire safety starting
in April and going through June.
