AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE LODGING OF PRISONERS
IN THE JACKSON COUNTY JAIL PURSUANT TO O.R. S . 221 . 914.
THE PEOPLE OF' THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
SECTION 1. Pursuant to O .R. S . 221- 914 , the City of Ashland
Police Department is hereby authorized to lodge prisoners in
the Jackson County Jail at a fee of $35 . 15 per day.
SECTION 2 . It is hereby declared that the safety and welfare
of tHe citizens of Ashland require that an emergency be declared,
and this Ordinance shall therefore be effective following its
passage by the City Council on second reading and its signature
by the Mayor .
The foregoing Ordinance was first read on the ,-V,<!-2- day of
1981 and duly PASSED and ADOPTED this r day of
