GSI Water Solutions, Inc. (GSI) is assisting the City of Ashland (City)with water rights consulting services related to release and protection instream of stored water from Reeder Reservoir as thermal offset for compliance with temperature limits in the City's NPDES permit. GSI is currently conducting this effort under a contract with the City with an effective date of October 28, 2024.The budget under the contract is $8,720. The purpose of this amendment is to add additional budget of$2,000. GSI's original fee estimate was $8,720, providing a total budget of$ 10,720. GSI's scope of work under Task 1 is unchanged; additional budget is needed by GSI due to the unanticipated complexity of the activities conducted to date under Task 1. Specifically, more effort than anticipated was needed to communicate with the Oregon Water Resources Department (OWRD) regarding mechanisms for temporarily protecting water instream, and developing revised alternatives based on feedback from OWRD staff.. We understand that the City will issue an amendment to the current contract. Please let me know if you have any questions. .....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
