A RESOLUTION REQUESTING SURRENDER BY JACKSON COUNTY TO THE CITY OF
ASHLAND ALL RIGHT,TITLE,INTEREST,JURISDICTION,MAINTENANCE AND
CONTROL OF ALL SUBJECT EXCHANGE ROAD SECTIONS,TO THE CITY
RECITALS:
A. Jackson County presently has jurisdiction over several County maintained roads that
are now in or adjacent to city limits of Ashland, including the following"Subject
Exchange Roads" listed below:
a. East Main Street(Clay Street to Tolman Creek Road)
b. Clay Street(East Main Street to Ashland Street)
B. The City of Ashland has annexed properties adjacent to East Main Street and Clay
Street.
C. Annexations were approved through Ordinances Number 3246 and 3259 by the City
of Ashland.
D. After the City of Ashland requests surrender, Jackson County shall hold a public
hearing to consider the request.
THE CITY OF ASHLAND HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The City of Ashland requests that Jackson County surrender all right, title,
interest,jurisdiction, maintenance, and control of aforementioned Subject Exchange Roads
effective March 1, 2026
SECTION 2. This resolution is effective upon adoption.
This resolution was duly PASSED and ADOPTED this Z ('� day of
and takes effect upon signing by the Mayor.
