-;i;~l WHEREAS, this year marks the 102nd anniversary of the Public Works profession;
~'.,--'-i$~-, ',WHEREAS, public works services provided in our community are an integral part of
:~-~i~ our citizens' everyday lives; and .
............ WHEREAS, the support of an understanding and informed citizenry is vital to the
~i!~iiii~!i'~:!i~'. efficient operation of public works systems and programs such as
.~ .,..,...,:.. water, sewers, streets, storm drains, equipment, the municipal airport,
~-~!C~',~. WHEREAS, the health, safety, and comfort of this community greatly depends on
i~(~:~:! these facilities and services.
~ili,:...).,i:iil;':;NOW, THEREFORE, I, Catherine M. Golden, Mayor of Ashland, do hereby
