HomeMy WebLinkAbout2848 Vacation - "A" StreetORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF "A" STREET EASTERLY OF OAK STREET THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ASHLAND DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The public right of way described on the attached Exhibit A is vacated subject to a reservation of a six-foot wide pedestrian access easement as described in Section 2. SECTION 2. The six-foot wide pedestrian access easement is retained along the Southern edge of the property boundary adjacent to "A" Street as described on attached Exhibit B. The easement is for pedestrian access and should be at approximate street grade and maintain an eight foot height clearance from overhangs and obstructions. OLSON, ENGINEERING SERVICES MANAGER REVISED DESCRIPTION OF "A" STREET VACATION The simplest way to correct the description of the "A" Street vacation is to simply cross- out the 27 on both exhibit A & B and write in 21. If both originals are revised in this manner it should be a simple matter of re-recording the same documents over again. Mr. Russ Broughton, the author of the description, has given his permission to make this simple change. It might be advisable to add a note to this effect that the document is being re-recorded to correct an error in the description.
