MINUTES OF ADJOURNED COUNCIL MEETING
ASHLAND CITY COUNCIL
June 30, 1975
Mayor Prickett called the adjourned meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.
in the Council Chambers on the above date. Allen, Ragland,
McCannon and Laws were present; Hoffarth and McDowell were
absent.
The Recorder gave the second reading by title only of "An ordi-
nance adopting the annual budget, making appropriations, and
levying taxes for the period of July 1, 1975, to and including
June 30, 1976, such taxes in the sum of $370,022 upon all the
real and personal property subject to assessment and levy within
the corporate limits of the City of Ashland, Jackson County,
Oregon, said levy to be in accordance with the particular ap-
propriations mentioned herein, and declaring an emergency."
McCannon moved to adopt the ordinance. Laws seconded and motion
passed with Allen, Ragland, McCannon and Laws in favor.
Finance Director Nelson presented a resolution transferring ap-
propriations within funds in the 1974-75 budget, and explained
that $5,947 was being transferred from Utility Fund Operating
Contingency to Electric Utility Obsolete Inventory Write-Off
in accordance with directions from the Budget Committee, and
that obsolete inventory items were being sold. He further ex-
plained that the Parks and Recreation Department had over-expen-
ded some funds and under-expended others, and therefore asked
that $17,300 be transferred from Park Division Capital Outlay
to parks Personnel Salaries C$9,500), Parks Employee Benefits
($1,800)and Parks General Supplies ($6,000), and that $600 be
transferred from Recreation Division New Programs to Recreation
Salaries ($500) and Employee Benefits ($100).
Nelson then read the resolution for transfers. Laws moved for
adoption of the resolution; Ragland seconded, and motion passed
on unanimous roll call vote.
At 4:30 p.m., Mayor Prickett adjourned the meeting.
