it was moved by Willstatter, seconded by Haines that
be accepted with regret and placed on file. On roll
unanimously.

City Administrator Boshears indicated that staff had received a
letter from Senator Newbry thanking them for the resolution and
correspondence regarding the Council's feelings on SOC's expansion
plans and closure of streets. No action required.
City Administrator Boshears read a letter from the Chamber of
Comjacrce regarding the deadline for registering existing signs
under the Sign Ordinance. Dr. john Abernathy was present to
request that Council consider extending the deadline date 60
days, in addition eo giving the Design Review 3card some direction
with regard zo vlolalions of these rules. Following some dis-
cussion, in w~s moved by Willstatter, seconded by Haines that the
60-d~y exzer. sion be granted. On roll call, carried unanimously.
The matter of direction regarding violations was referred to the
adminisnrau_on. :

seconded by RobertS that low bid be accepted.

reporu on buying habits of full-time Southern Oregon College
o~adents. No action necessary.
=~atorney Skerry read resolution regarding distribution of
clalfication of City ordinances. He was asked at the previous
s_..incil meeting to include the members of the Council in uhe dis-
-isu'aion. Following reading of ordinance, it was moved by
.isLatte~, seconded by Haines that rules be suspended and ordi-
lasses to second reading by title only. On roll call, carried
u. .ously. Following second reading by title only, it was moved
bl, larra ~econded by Haines that the'resolution be adopted.

t.. it was recommended by Mayor McKeen that City
Admin~szr~z~r Boshears be appointed Budget Officer. It was moved
by Haines, ~econded by O'Harra that the appointment be confirmed.
On roll call, carried unanimously. There being no further businc~
the meeting w~s adjourned subject to the call of the Mayor.
