July 8, 1968
The Common Council of the City of Ashland met in adjourned session at
12:00 P.M. noon this date. Councilmen Baker~ Cottle, Jones, Roberts
and Ward were present. Mayor Neill was absent, Chairman Jo~es
presided.
Purpose of meeting being to purchase Wills property on Granite Street
due to their refusal for an extension of optiono
Price to be paid, approximately $3,150.00 and balance in monthly in-
stallments to holder of contract.
Reason fnll cost of $6,500 not being paid is the hope that a
percent of Federal Funds may be received on balance of unpaid purchase
price when application for Federal Aid is filed°
Following further discussion, it was moved by Cottle, seconded by
Ward that the Mayor and City Recorder be authorized to execute document
for Wills' land purchase which also includes a two year rental free
clause to the Wills. On roll call, carried unanimously.
The Council agreed that Attorney Sker~y be given authority to close
out terms of option on other property purchases as previously authorized
by Council action.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned subjectto the
call of the Mayor.
