HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-1211 ADJOURNED MINMINUTES OF ADJOURNED MEETING ASHLAND CITY COUNCIL December 11, 1968 The Common CoUncil of the City of Ashland met in adjourned session at 5:00 P.M. this date. Mayor Neill presided. Councilmen Cottle, Jones, Roberts and Ward present. Absent: Baker and O'Harra. City Recorder Bartelt presented a request from Mro James B. Hoots, 627 Oak Street, to hold a benefit dance for Billie Hutchinson an Bellview Grange on Friday, December 20, 1968. The Bellview Grange has agreed to donate the hall for this event. Moved by Cottle, seconded by Roberts, that permission be granted and bond and license be waived. Motion carried unanimously. RecOrder Bartelt presented a renewal liquor application for Shlnh's Drive-In Market, 180 C Street. Moved by Cottle, seconded by Ward, that approval of application be granted. Motion carried unanimously. City Administrator Boshears presented a resolution authorizing amendment of application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development authorized by a resolution dated September 17, 1968, to increase the application for the relocation grant from $1,500 to $7,500. Moved by Cottle, seconded by Jones, that the resol- ution be passed to second reading by title only. On roll call, carried unanimously. Following second reading by City Adminis- trator Boshears, it was moved by Cottle, seconded by Ward, that resolution be adopted° On roll call, carried unanimously.
