with the Council. It was moved by Lewis, seconded-by
Baker that the Council meet with the Park C_~mm4ssion at
their regular meeting of Tuesday, October 13, at 7:30 P.M.

City Administrato~ Ayre presented a report of the AShland
Airp~ Development to the C0uncil and .stated that he and
Councilmen Ward had artended a mee~in~ ~of the State Board of
Aeronautics last weeks Chat Mr, Pllmete and ]4r. McGinnis of
the State Board of AeronautiCs Came to Ashland this morning
and artended an Airport Committee meeting at noon; and that
Mro Plimate was present at t~e Council meeting to discuss
state Aid for ~h~ proposed aZrporto
Mr. Plimate addressed the Co~il end ;ave a brief hackground
of the Stat~ts activities in~connection with the Ashland Airpor~
Re stated that at this time ~e did not know the outcome of the
City of Ashlandts request for State aid, but if the request
is refused~ the City may rea~ply for aid,
Councilmen gard asked City Administrator Ayre to contact the
County Court in regard to financial assistance fr~n tl~County°
City Aam~nistrator Ayre stated that Mr, Roger Fartell, who is
presently subleasing the airgort operations from Mr, Par~er,
would like the Council to signify their intention toper m it
Fartell to continue leasing =he operations after purchase oZ
the airport by the City. Mr, Fartell was present and stated
that in order to operate a thicomradio at the ai oft he
must hav~ assurance of stay~ there for at ~eastr~months.

signify its intention to lease the operations ~f the Ashland
Airport for one year or unti'. completion of the new ai ort,

Burroughs direct accountin~ computer. City AdministratorAyre
presented a report to the Council recommendi that the computer
be installed on a 90 day free trial basis. ~ectrical Supt.
Boshears stated that most of our present forms wouldbe adapt-
able to the new machine, Moved by Le~s, seconded by Ward
that the City Administrator be authorized to bey, the computer
